In April 2020 SEGRO launched a new £10 million fund, The SEGRO Centenary Fund, to mark its 100th anniversary which will be used over the decade to make a positive impact within communities across the UK and Continental Europe.

In the first few months of the pandemic, we focussed on providing immediate help with the provision of food, food vouchers and essential household items. As the year went on, we switched our area of focus to employment, by awarding grants to skills and training programmes and other employment opportunities. The SEGRO Centenary Fund will build on and extend the company’s long-standing and well-established approach to community engagement and support, representing a 10-year commitment to help improve the lives of tens of thousands of people.

In Northamptonshire, we partnered with the Northamptonshire Community Foundation ( to allocate funding within the region. To date, in this area alone, the SEGRO Centenary Fund has supported 11 charities awarding over £53,000 of funding which in turn has helped over 7,800 people.

Community Liaison Group

To help keep local parishes and stakeholders updated about the construction of SEGRO Logistics Park Northampton (SLPN), SEGRO has established a Community Liaison Group (CLG) as a way of managing and sharing information relating to the development.

The CLG aims to provide a transparent and representative link between SEGRO, the community and other local stakeholders, ensuring the local community is well informed and its voice listened to throughout the construction of SLPN.

  • Collingtree Parish Council
  • South Northamptonshire Council
  • Northampton Borough Council
  • Northamptonshire Highways
  • Highways England
